August is Water Quality Awareness Month, a time to think about something most of us use all day without stopping to notice: clean water.

We use water to drink, cook, bathe, wash clothes, clean our homes, water gardens, support businesses, care for pets, and keep communities running. It is part of nearly every routine, even the ones we do not think of as water-related. From a morning cup of coffee to washing fresh produce for dinner, clean water is there in the background.
